New Debate Hehe

June 7, 2007 / by ethanator

Ok so you all know that I like to talk about stuff so here it is!

Should a church worship song follow a certain type of "guideline" for how fast, loud, crazy, slow, serious, melodic, ect, ect, ect.
Should songs that are sung in chruch be more serious then those at camps?
Should worship be more serious then fun?
Should there be limit to the amount of awesome guitar there should be?
Is there more then one type of worship and is one better then the other?
Just some thoughts!

"Should a church worship song follow a certain type of "guideline" for how fast, loud, crazy, slow, serious, melodic, ect, ect, ect."- As long as it glorifies God it can be a worship song, it must be somewhat orderly because God is a God of order.
" Should songs that are sung in chruch be more serious then those at camps?
Should worship be more serious then fun?"- Camp is for kids to have fun and also learn about God, at camp there is a big focus on fun with a good message, at church the goal is to praise God.
" Should there be limit to the amount of awesome guitar there should be?"-Heck No!
" Is there more then one type of worship and is one better then the other?"-Two types of worship, that which honors God and that which does not, you know which one is better, lol.

Yess God is a god of order, but if it is glorifying God then why does it have to be orderly? And if both the camp song and church song are both glorifying then why should they not be sung at bother places? [THUMBUP]

If it goes against God's nature then it cannot be glorifying to Him.

There have been far to many fights in churches over music. It's a mute point. You are either there to worship God or you are not. The music is a tool. If you don't like the song, don't sing it.

Yeah thats true. I am just trying to fingure out some of the reasons why churches fight over this.

I have to say that any type of music can be glorifying to god if the person performing it is truly meaning what they say. The music behind the words does not matter.
